Il fatto di base è che i maschi “hanno sempre voglia”… quei maiali. E dove c’è domanda…
Molte culture hanno sacralizzato il sesso: un po’ per imporre precetti che tengano a freno la libidine, un po’ perché nel sesso lì c’è qualcosa di magico (è da lì nasce la vita).
Insomma, è un campo dove l’autorità si sente “investita”…
Sacro e soldi non vanno molto d’accordo.
In più c’è il fatto che nel settore i “venditori” sono stati quasi sempre donne, quindi soggetti facili da vessare.
Ma oggi? Oggi le cose dovrebbero essere cambiate: la società è secolarizzata e le donne sono emancipate! Eppure…

Qualcuno magari pretendeva di tenere un registro con l’elenco delle professioniste e/o un certo “zoning”, magari l’osservanza di certi orari (notturni). Altri bandivano il lavoro per strada e altri ancora proibivano alle prostitute di sposarsi.
