Stralcio di un intervento...

Occultare la logica modale in cui sta a bagno maria la teoria del male è impresa sciagurata. Se un giornalista un po' sciagurato lo fa per giustificare gli sghignazzamenti pre-intervista, un po' la colpa è anche sua.

Non ho approfondito il pensiero di De Mattei sulla Genesi, butto lì solo due caveat che evitano perdite di tempo:

1. il cattolico crede che nel corso dell' eucarestia il pane e il vino si trasformino per consustanziazione nel corpo e nel sangue di Cristo. Qualcuno, dimentico che la scienza non si occupa delle sostanze, potrebbe voler verificare la cosa al microspio. Ecco, evitare questo genere di ignoranza sarebbe decisivo.

2. Per il cattolico la sostanza dell' uomo è la sua anima, qualcosa che non possiamo "disegnare" visto che possiamo disegnare solo corpi. Per il cattolico moderno scientificamente acculturato il racconto della Genesi è metafora, ma non nel senso di "espediente retorico per impartire una qualche morale". Non nel senso di "parabola", non è insomma una favola di Esopo. E' metafora per raccontare il reale, per raccontare una "storia reale delle sostanze". Cio' significa, e questo sì che ce lo dice la scienza, che noi non possiamo "disegnare" Adamo così come lo descrive Genesi, ma cio' non toglie, per il cattolico, la realtà sostanziale di quel racconto e dei suoi personaggi.

Puo' sottoscrivere i due caveat anche l' evoluzionista spinto che progetta per sè l' ibernazione secolare con successivo upload delle facoltà cognitive su un computer. Per esempio io.

Cosa poi pensi esattamente De Mattei non è ben desumibile dall' intervista e come tutte le cose andrebbe approfondito (cosa che non ho voglia di fare).

Voglio solo aggiungerne una terza avvertenza che spesso sfugge: una mentalità scientifica non è affatto tenuta a credere a teorie che la scienza considera come le più plausibili. Basta e avanza che sia una mente bayesiana, in quanto tale le sue credenze saranno condizionate da a-priori che sono differenti per ciascuno di noi. Se non fosse così la scienza cesserebbe di essere maestra di libertà.
