MA CHE CAZZO FANNO DI LAVORO I GRANDI MANAGER?
Finalmente uno che lo spiega bene: definiscono e implementano la cultura e i valori dell’organizzazione aziendale. Poi, ratificano o mettono il veto sulle decisioni strategiche prese da altri, ovvero da coloro che conoscono bene le cose nel merito.
Le cose mi tornano, ho sempre visto la grande azienda come un’organizzazione culturale a scopo di lucro.

L'ONESTA' DI CHI HA TANTO DA PERDERE

Se c'è di mezzo il profitto sentiamo incombere la truffa, è per molti di noi un istinto primario.

Chi perderebbe tempo con i trattamenti di "penis enlargement"?

Questo libro sostiene in modo convincente che alla fine è proprio il business delle grandi corporation - regno assoluto del profitto - che nella vita ti inganna meno. Meno del tuo fruttivendolo, meno delle beneamate onlus, molto meno del governo, e probabilmente meno anche dei tuoi amici. Specie oggi che la comunicazione digitale punisce severamente ogni forma di disonestà.

E' piuttosto delle persone normali che non dovresti fidarti: i gestori dei siti di incontri romantici sanno bene quanto siamo reticenti, i curriculum traboccano di mezze verità, i dipendenti sgraffignano di tutto in azienda, i contribuenti evadono appena possono, specie se lavoratori subordinati. Se assumiamo gli standard più comuni di onestà le grandi aziende sono in odore di santità, forse perchè chi le guida (i manager) sono persone più collaborative, affidabili e altruistiche della media (gli esperimenti condotti in laboratorio parlano chiaro in merito).

Nulla di nuovo sotto il sole, è un paradosso ben noto nel mondo degli affari: il modo più efficace per aumentare i profitti in un'azienda è avere dipendenti culturalmente motivati. Se decidi deliberatamente di essere felice, probabilmente finirai per essere meno felice che se ti concentri nel costruire relazioni umane solide. Nel business vale lo stesso.

Il mondo del business promuove le buone maniere e la civiltà.
Non c'è niente di più tollerante e cooperativo del mondo del business. Le grandi imprese sono particolarmente inclusive: McDonald's, General Electric, Procter & Gamble definivano per i loro dipendenti assicurazioni sociali e altri benefici legali per i partner dello stesso sesso ben prima che se ne occupassero governi e corti costituzionali.

La cosa non sorprende: se tutti sono potenziali clienti, nessuno verrà escluso. Un pasticcere di provincia puo' anche rifiutarsi di confezionare una torta per un matrimonio gay, una grande impresa no. la grande impresa non puo' permettersi di giudicare.

LA LOBBY DEGLI AFFARI
Non esiste. Non ci credo. 
O quanto meno è sopravvalutata. 
Di solito entra in azione giusto per ridurre al minimo il rischio legale o per decifrare regolamentazioni governative complesse. Roba da poco, spesso più che legittima.
Recentemente si è parlato di di quell’Arata che avrebbe fatto pressioni foraggiando un certo Siri per ottenere un emendamento a sostegno delle energie alternative. Capirai che impressione mi fa, mi viene da ridere. Con la marea montante di “grete” e “gretini” un emendamento del genere rappresenta una medaglia da sfoggiare per qualsiasi governo, non certo una pratica da tenere nascosta nell’armadio degli scheletri.
Sono invece sottovalutati i meriti storici della lobby affaristica, eccone tre, giusto per gradire:
1) Piani regolatori. Se il settore delle costruzioni non si stancasse di perorare il diritto a costruire, la regolamentazione avrebbe da tempo soffocato lo sviluppo e fatto esplodere i prezzi delle case (già oggi molto alti!). L’uomo della strada giudica male la costruzione di nuovi edifici: più traffico, più rumore, svalutazione delle altre case, danni all’ambiente…
2) Lo stesso vale per la regolamentazione del mercato del lavoro. L’uomo della strada stravede per salari minimi, restrizioni di licenziamento, sussidi obbligatori, eccetera. Ma queste imposizioni hanno effetti collaterali terribili, specialmente in termini di disoccupazione. Lo sa bene l’Europa che indulgendo in tentazioni del genere ha perso da 30 anni i suoi primati economici a danno degli USA.

3) Infine, non dimentichiamo l'immigrazione. Mentre il mondo degli affari di rado si batte apertamente per aprire le frontiere, nemmeno si oppone all'immigrazione esistente, di solito portando argomenti solidi.

Conclusione: in una democrazia il parere degli elettori pesa immensamente più di quello delle lobbies!

Ahimè, viene da dire in questo periodo.

Il Big Business è portatore di civiltà e tolleranza. Magari questo suo atteggiamento inclusivo è frutto di ipocrisia ma sta di fatto che esiste ed è forte. La cosa non è sorprendente: i clienti del big business vengono da ogni ceto e da ogni strato sociale: occorre trattare bene tutti!

Da cosa lo deduco?

Dal fatto che quando l’impresa è co-gestita o gestita dai lavoratori stessi (cooperative) i lavoratori sono ancora più sfruttati.

Ormai una quota crescente degli stipendi è pagata in questo modo senza che traspaia nelle statistiche.

Risultato: il boss tratta i lavoratori troppo bene e li paga troppo poco.
