Dipende dal danno, ma dipende anche dal fastidio di cambiarla: se premendo un bottone mi fosse messa a disposizione in tempo reale la mia macchina ideale ad un prezzo equo cambierei subito. Se invece devo pirlare come un cretino per concessionari rovinandomi il week end… grazie ma mi tengo la mia.

Lo stesso vale in società: quando gli amici sono facilmente sostituibili il turn over sarà elevato. Nella società liquida questo requisito ricorre poiché è più facile aggregarsi in gruppi iper-selezionati.

Faccio un esempio tratto dalla mia esperienza ciellina: il gruppo è tenuto insieme da un legame molto forte ma all’interno del gruppo non si creano legami molto forti. Il motivo è evidente: cambiare amicizie è poco costoso. Incontri continuamente buoni candidati per la sostituzione dei vecchi amici. Al minimo screzio: zac!

Ecco una possibile bussola: autismo e schizofrenia sono disturbi opposti.
Lo SCHIZOFRENICO è patologicamente creativo ma manca di logica. Fuma molto, ha uno scarso senso della sua persona che vede sempre immersa e confusa con l’ambiente circostante; è un non conformista con una comunicazione disordinata e piena di superstizioni. In forme lievi questi “vizi” si accompagnano con una particolare abilità nel leggere la mente altrui e comprendere le dinamiche sociali. Tanto per dire, rientra nello spettro schizoide la personalità carismatica e con notevole successo sociale (i politici sono spesso “schizzati”). Queste forme lievi, del resto, sono ben rappresentate negli ascendenti del matto.
L’AUTISTICO è patologicamente razionale, manca di creatività, fuma pochissimo e ha un grande senso della sua persona, che tiene ben distinta (direi isolata) dall’ambiente circostante e dai rischi di contaminazione. La sua cognizione è meccanica, pensa solo in termini logici e di regole. Anche nel rapportarsi con gli altri cerca delle regole precise da seguire: è chiaro che va presto nel pallone, da qui il suo odio per la vita sociale. In forme lievi queste personalità sono particolarmente versate per le STEM, il mondo moderno apprezza queste doti (nella programmazione software, per esempio, gli “spettri autistici” sono ben accetti). A proposito, la forma lieve è quasi sempre presente negli ascendenti del matto.
Cos’hanno in comune? Che sono patologie. Che parliamo di matti. Nello schizofrenico l’empatia arriva fino ad impedire la distinzione tra sé e il lago di Garda. Nell’autistico la razionalità arriva fino a respingere qualsiasi informazione dal mondo esterno perché non classificabile secondo rigide categorie.
Problema: gli uomini predominano di brutto tra gli autistici ma prevalgono leggermente anche tra gli schizo.
Soluzione: cio’ è dovuto probabilmente alla maggiore varianza caratteriale degli uomini. Infatti, se allarghiamo l’analisi all’intero “spettro” gli uomini prevalgono tra gli autistici e le donne tra gli schizo.
A proposito: l’autistico non lo freghi mai con la mano di gomma, lo schizo ci casca sempre.

Voi non ci crederete ma è esistito un mondo in cui l’informazione scarseggiava, cosicché non andava sprecata, a partire dai nomi. Il fatto che io mi chiami “Riccardo” non dice niente a nessuno, se mi chiamassi “Pietro” non farebbe differenza. Si tratta di una palese occasione sprecata per informare. Oltretutto, “Riccardo” è un nome che mi è stato appioppato quando ancora non si conosceva il mio carattere.  Sarebbe molto più utile  se la gente mi chiamasse “lo spaccaossa”. O al limite – considerata l’ereditarietà dei caratteri personali - “Mario”, che è il nome di mio papà, lui almeno aveva già vissuto a lungo e qualcosa in più si sapeva.

Ma ancora oggi ci sono mondi dove l’informazione scarseggia ad arte: il mondo del crimine. Al maxiprocesso di Palermo il 32% degli imputati era schedato dalla polizia con un soprannome (spesso il nome del padre o del nonno). Non esiste professione che eguagli questo record.

La violenza prospera laddove ci sono molte anonime divise senza gradi: scuole, caserme, carceri sono acquari dove nuota a suo agio il pesce-bullo. Inoltre, i criminali sono maestri nella produzione di violenza opportunamente dosata. La violenza serve per testare gli altri, per far capire chi sei e come sei disposto ad usarla. I più vittimizzati sono i più deboli: pivellini, donne e colletti bianchi. I più violenti – la cosa è contro intuitiva - sono i candidati ad essere considerati deboli: i pivellini, le donne e i colletti bianchi: sono loro a dover dimostrare qualcosa. Nell’era della macchina quale sarà il ruolo dell’uomo?

Io non ne sarei così sicuro. Guardiamo agli scacchi: lì già esistono macchine più “intelligenti” dell’uomo, ovvero macchine in grado di battere l’uomo. Eppure l’uomo conserva ancora un ruolo: decide quando i software di cui si avvale sono in conflitto tra loro. Se Deep Blue e AlphaZero non concordano sulla mossa da compiere, decide lo scacchista che li consulta.

L’uomo viene azzerato se esiste solo una macchina super-intelligente, ma se ne esistono tante – a prescindere dal loro livello di intelligenza - conserva il ruolo di arbitro.
