Naturalmente comunisti di Felice Cimatti

La tesi di questo libro è che la vita sotto il capitalismo è una vita innaturale. Il problema è quindi innanzitutto biologico. La vita naturale al contrario è quella che il filosofo Karl Marx chiamava comunismo. Il nemico di chi condivide queste conclusioni è l'economista.

Il lettore potrà pensare che questo libro cada nella classica fallacia naturalistica, l'errore che compie chi dalla descrizione di un fatto ne deriva delle conseguenze etiche ma il presente volume nasce proprio dalla convinzione che questa distinzione sia dannosa tanto per la scienza quanto per la filosofia.

Ma a che titolo un libro di filosofia può occuparsi di un tema biologico? La natura umana è troppo importante per lasciarla solo agli scienziati.

Per Edward Wilson il pensiero progressista orientato al futuro rappresenta un pericolo poiché è nel passato che si trovano le radici della  natura umana, la conseguenza è che un mondo giusto, un mondo in cui  i diritti dell'altro non vengano stabiliti in rapporto alla sua maggiore o minore vicinanza genetica con noi diventerà possibile solo andando oltre la nostra natura.

Per Arnold Gehlen (1904 1976) l'uomo è un essere privo di una natura specifica, o meglio, la sua natura è quella di sentirsi irrimediabilmente inadeguato e di cercare di compensare queste carenze attraverso la sua capacità di lavoro. Per lui, al contrario che per la psicologia evoluzionista, la vita giusta è quella che trattiene gli  istinti residui, l'uomo è quindi un animale che si autodisciplina. Per Steven Pinker, ad esempio, la proprietà privata è giusta perché è un istinto, per Gehlen perché è un artificio necessario alla convivenza umana.
