Sfida all'ipotesi nulla

Ma cosa diavolo è questa "istruzione diretta"?
L'unico metodo di insegnamento che sembra funzionare, dati alla mano.
L'unico metodo con mezzo secolo di successi registrati in modo pignolo.
L'unico metodo dal successo replicabile e scalabile nello spazio e nel tempo.
L'unico metodo codificabile nei dettagli, senza vaghezze, senza ambiguità.
L'unico metodo che raggruppa i ragazzi per abilità e non per età.
Il metodo più veloce nell'attuazione e con verifiche facili e continue.
L'unico metodo in grado di scalfire la mia fede che a scuola "non esistono ricette".
Il metodo più odiato dagli insegnanti. Il metodo che li trasforma da "eroi" unici in umili operai sostituibili tra loro.
Ma soprattutto, perché non viene adottato universalmente?
Forse perché, basta darci un'occhiata, il suo metodo a trapano è odiato sia dagliinsegnanti che dagli allievi. E, in genere, cio' che si odia non dà molto beneficio.
Ma forse avere dei fondamentali solidi serve.

Perchè non si affrontano i problemi e li si lascia incancrenire? Ad es. perchè un genitore non nota i segni della droga sul figlio? Perchè alcuni commettono errori banali di valutazione?
La radice del problema va cercata in un meccanismo difensivo chiamato autoinganno:
Cos’è l’ autoinganno e in che modo contribuisce a rendere più difficoltoso accorgersi dei problemi ma soprattutto perché contribuisce a rendere più rabbiose le separazioni.
