ESOTERISMO DEI VALORI
L'Europa ha un evidente problema con il suo passato, con la sua tradizione, non la vuole evocare, evita di pronunciarsi sulle sue radici ed è letteralmente atterrita dalla parola "valori", cerca continuamente di eclissarla ricorrendo alla cosiddetta tecnocrazia. Questo, attenzione, non significa che l'Europa non abbia valori, significa che li deve professare in modo esoterico.

BREVE STORIA DEL POLITICAMENTE CORRETTO

Frank Furedi racconta la storia del “politicamente corretto” e ascoltandolo ho davvero la sensazione di imparare qualcosa. Dopo il mattatoio dei conflitti mondiali l’Europa ha creduto di individuare nel “moralismo” il virus letale che l’aveva devastata nella prima metà del XX secolo. Da quel momento ogni discorso con riferimenti o appelli ai cosiddetti “valori” doveva ricevere la stimmate del disprezzo, non solo civile ma anche estetico (in Italia mi viene in mente la guerra dichiarata dalla neo-avanguardia al povero Bassani). L’asetticità della retorica avrebbe garantito l’assenza di acrimonia e la neo-lingua del “politicamente corretto” aveva per obbiettivo proprio quello di offrire un campo di discussione eticamente non connotato. Quello che in politica era la “tecnocrazia”, in ambito culturale era incarnato dalla salubre aridità del “politicamente corretto”.
A distanza di anni possiamo ben dire che il progetto sia naufragato, cosa c’è infatti che suoni oggi più moralista di una tirata “politicamente corretta”? Cosa c’è di più bigotto e bacchettone che un soggetto ligio al p.c.? Nel dichiarare il fallimento dobbiamo però anche essere consci che si tratta di un fallimento del preteso “neutralismo”. Se si tiene conto di queste indicazioni ci si spiega anche la riluttanza con cui i “moralisti” contemporanei che pontificano dai giornali accettino quell’epiteto: cio’ che si ritrovano ad essere è anche cio’ che hanno combattuto per tutta la vita! In Europa il caso interessante non è la Grecia, lì si tratta solo di un paese che vorrebbe continuare a "spassarsela" ma avendo finito i fondi propri pretende prestiti senza condizioni. Il dissidio è penoso ma non può definirsi "interessante". La causa della Grecia è una causa persa in partenza anche se, non lo nego, resta l'aspetto umano della vicenda.
Il caso interessante è quello dell'Ungheria, un paese che avanza rivendicazioni legate ai valori e alla cultura. Che dire a un paese che rifiuta i migranti? Che dire a un paese che fa leggi "sessiste"? Che dire a un paese che adotta valori cristiani e che quindi limita divorzio aborto?
Con l'Ungheria la UE deve decidere sul serio cosa essere da grande e quali principi adottare: "politeismo dei valori" o uniformità?

Mi ritengo un "élitista", purchè sia chiara una cosa. Prendiamo queste tre affermazioni:
1) l'esperto ne sa di più,
2) l'esperto deve contare di più,
3) Il vino è buono.
Ora, l'élitista crede a 1), l'élitario a 1) + 2) e l'etilista a 3).
